Flight Home After Treatment

Barbara and I arrived home to Orlando after a long day in Texas waiting for our flight yesterday. It was so great to get on Florida ground. We were greeted by Kim and Kim in their full Texas garb to make us feel at home. Bad accident on the highway so we were late getting in.

Sean, Matthew, and Poppa were awake and watching Alabama whoop up on the Gators while waiting for us. Ethan was fast asleep. It was good to sleep at home. I woke up early, had some tea and toast, and then went back to sleep for a little longer.

Rather Be Running Than Tired From Chemo

Not sure what today will bring. It’s kind of strange to not have any plans or things that have to get done. The weather is beautiful. A day that would be nice outside. Two of my friends have run or are running big races this weekend. Last night my friend Tim ran the Disney Wine and Dine in my honor. I’m truly honored. I don’t yet know how he did, but I know he gave it his all. Another friend, Jonathan, is running a marathon in Minnesota today. I would love to be running in this weather. Not sure when I will feel like running again. I truly hope it’s soon, but am not that optimistic. I’m tired in a way that I can’t describe as tired, I don’t know what it is. It’s just a lazy and maybe a little lethargic.

We just changed our flight plans for the return after my next chemo to come home on Friday instead of Saturday. I felt fine from a nausea point of view so I would like to try to get home earlier if I can.

Anyway, I guess there are grocery lists to be made and cleaning up around that can be done. Not my first choice of fun activities but might get me going with a few small tasks.
