Home From Chemo

Chemo Days Are Long Days

I posted in the middle of chemo treatment but am home (Courtyard Marriott, home) now so wanted to give a quick update. Felt fine leaving the hospital. The worst thing so far about the chemo was the pain in my hand from one of the hydration fluids that had potassium and it hurt going in. Ice packs on it all day helped. Normal reaction but so far that has been the worst. I have taken all of my nausea meds and feel ok. Was feeling a little woozy when we got back to the hotel and still a little off. I am tired so hopefully will sleep well tonight.

It has been a long day. The infusion was originally 6 hours but it was upwards of 7 after they added another medicine and just the iv process etc. Future visits we will know that it’s a good 9 hour day at the hospital.
