Exciting News!
In addition to this blog, I am co-hosting a podcast with a fellow survivor. Alexis is the stepdaughter of a friend whom I met because of cancer but has quickly become a friend. Alexis is cervical cancer survivor too. The podcast is Woven Together – Conversations That Started With Cancer. Each of us has had a similar yet different experience which I think adds real value to the information we are able to share.
In our first episode, we kick off the conversation about cancer by sharing more intimate details about our cancer journeys. From the very first diagnosis to that scary word of “recurrence”. We share what our walk has looked like throughout the years.
In the second episode, we talk about something that is a very personal part of each person’s journey, hair. Many of you know from a past post that losing my hair wasn’t my first choice, but it wasn’t a big deal for me. Alexis felt very different about losing her hair. She openly shares the angst associated with losing her hair.
The most recent episode addresses a topic that I wrote about recently What Nobody Tells You About Surviving cancer. Alexis has just completed treatment for a recurrence so her insight is fresh.
We have recorded additional episodes that will drop on the first and third Monday of each month. We would love for you to join us on this journey. Please listen and share. Our hope is that our conversations about cancer will help others facing a diagnosis, recurrence as a patient or caregiver.
