Way To Go Autocorrect

A funny thing has been happening on the autocorrect of my phone. Every time I type “tumors”, it changes it to “rumors”. Isn’t that great?  cancer doesn’t have enough pull with autocorrect to get enough respect to have the word tumor recognized! I thought it was funny and wanted to share.

No Love For The Tumors

The other thing I want to write about the rumors is that I don’t touch them so I can’t tell if they are shrinking. In a strange way, I think they are. I haven’t felt as much discomfort from them so that’s why I think they are. It creeps me out to touch them so that’s why I don’t. Who knows, maybe in a strange way if I don’t touch them they won’t feel the love of my touch and decide to not stick around.  Demented, maybe, but it’s a thought.

Run In The Rain

It’s a rainy morning here today. I had planned on meeting my Team in Training (TNT) Team for a run today. I’m feeling that good! However, being out in the rain probably isn’t the smartest choice for me so no run today.  My Livin the Dream Team is going to walk/run in a local 5K next Saturday together and I am excited to do it with them. I might even resume some 5 am runs this week. This is where I add the sentence to everyone who loves me, I won’t overdo it so no need to text or email. I will get my rest.  I PROMISE!!

Honored To Be A Hero

The other exciting thing about my day is that TNT has asked me to be their Honored Hero for the Spring Season. An excerpt from the handbook about what an Honored Hero is. An Honored Hero is someone who provides inspiration throughout the training period. An Honored Hero can be anyone who is currently being treated for or is a survivor of a blood cancer.  (Although mine is not a blood cancer, my connection with TNT and the team is clear.) Each season the TNT staff selects an Honored Hero for the team. You will be called upon to share your strength and courage with these dedicated individuals. Today I am meeting Jenn for my first meeting to encourage people to sign up for TNT and train to walk/run a half or full marathon. It’s an honor for me.
